10/16/07  W 10  BEN TACKIE (landed 282 of 906 total punches (31%-91 thrown per round) to 188 of 750 (25%) for trial horse Tackie.  Gomez avg’d a whopping 54 jabs thrown per round, landing 14 per frame (26%).  Gomez tired somewhat in rounds seven thru nine, averaging JUST 72 punches per round, then closed show by landing 26 of 90 in last round.  Scoring: 98-92 G 2x & 97-93 G)

7/14/07  KO 7  ARTURO GATTI (totally dominated the faded Gatti, landing 216 of 471 total punches (46%) in 6 and 2/3 rounds.  Avg’d 37 jabs thrown per round, landing 38%.  Also landed 52% of his power shots, including 40 of 62 (65%) to end the one-sided drubbing (and Gatti’s career) at 2:12 of round seven.  Gatti landed just 74 of 358 (21%) total punches.)

3/20/07  KO 7  MARTIN CONCEPCION (fought at a more controlled pace- averaging 64 punches thrown per round, landing 47% overall vs. the 11-4 Concepcion, who lost his 4th strait.  Gomez also landed 51% of his jabs (121 of 238), averaging 35 thrown per round.  Concepcion landed just 18% of this total punches, averaging 62 thrown per round.)

Gomez avg’d 88 punches thrown per round, landing 34% in his fights vs. Luciano Perez (10/15/05  KO 4); Jose Ojeda (9/13/03  W 6) and Jesse Feliciano (2/28/03 L 6).  Gomez also avg’d 38 jabs thrown per round, landing just 24%.  Perez, Ojeda and Feliciano landed just 21% overall.
