7/14/07  KO 2  WALTER MATTHYSSE (brutalized Matthysse, who went 10 rounds with Paul Williams on 5/27/06.  Cintron dropped Matt late in round one, landing 21 of 45 power shots.  Matt was down twice more in 2nd before end came at :29 of 2nd.)

10/28/06  KO 5  MARK SUAREZ (hard-hitting Cintron won Ricky Hatton-vacated ibf welterweight title setting up his power shots with the jab vs. the power-punch happy Suarez, 25-2.  Cintron avg’d 35 jabs thrown per round among his 75 total punches thrown per round.  Cintron was down for a flash in 1st round from two right hands that landed behind his head. Cintron turned up the heat in 4th round, landing 19 of 72 total punches, including 16 of 46 (35%) power shots.  Closed the show in 5th by landing 36 of 60 power shots (60%) among his 90 total punches.  Suarez took a knee as a result, then was driven into ropes before fight was stopped at 2:31 of 5th.  Suarez landed a healthy 41% of his power shots, never hurting Cintron, who landed 46% of his power punches.  Suarez threw just 71 jabs among his 255 total punches.) 

4/23/05  KO by 5  ANTONIO MARGARITO (for Tony’s wbo welter. title.  Lots of hype (espn’s ppv debut), not much of a fight, as Cintron was never in it.  Seemed to come apart after getting cut over right eye in 3rd round.  Cintron down 2x in 4th and twice more in fifth before fight was stopped at 2:12 of fifth.  Cintron landed a miserable 8 of 146 jabs (5%) and only 27% of his power shots (34 of 126).  Cintron was outlanded 38-19 in power shots over last three rounds by Margarito, who landed 31% of his power shots.)
